Obama: Iran not a threat

Watch it:

I guess that he doesn't get that whole nexus of nuclear weapons and terrorism thing. Even John Kerry thought that the greatest threat to the United States was nuclear weapons in the hands of terrorists. And in Iran we have a country that is funding the collapse of Lebanon and putting troops on the Israeli border. We have a country that has called for the eradication of Israel. And we have a country that is engaged in nuclear activity and has the terrorist distribution networks to really do damage when they get them.

How is that "not a threat"? No wonder Democratic leaders reject his foreign policy. He is just inexperienced and doesn't know what he is talking about.

....to take in the rubes.

Ahmadhi-Nejad's Hitlerian rants must be read back to him over and over again.

Maybe we can just disband our military if Obama is elected.

On a related note, why isn't the press asking him when he'll get our troops out of Afghanistan? That country poses no threat to us and we're just creating more terrorists by having troops there right?

To be fair to BHO by hunter

He thinks that Iran is not the same level of threat as the USSR.
That is a fair statement. Iran will only be able to take out an American city or two, but it will be tough on Israel and the nations around Israel when they do what they want to do.
But then he demonstrates the special historical ignorance that is BHO by blithering on trying to compare summits with world level powers to legitimizing tinhorn tyrants and mullahs.
But his naivete and ignorance of history on almost any topic available is breath taking.

the key difference is the Soviets beleived in MAD, there is no reason to beleive the Iranians do given their "HIdden Imam" islamic theology. They may actually want nuclear war more than anything. That alone would make them more dangerous, as long as we keep sidestepping what Islam teaches though it will be easy for Americans to buy into what BHO is selling.

probably why many paultards like this socialist. priorities, blaming america is good, excusing lunatic jihadist ok

...that they don't sell The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion at the Obama Mass Rallies. At least, yet.

They best head back to Coeur d'Leine, Idaho and start planning their State of Siege for Minneapolis.

"History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it"-Winston Churchill

Gloves off!!!!

"Senator Obama has declared, and repeatedly reaffirmed his intention to meet the President of Iran without any preconditions, likening it to meetings between former American Presidents and the leaders of the Soviet Union. Such a statement betrays the depth of Senator Obama’s inexperience and reckless judgment. Those are very serious deficiencies for an American president to possess." - John McCain

(my emphasis)
Sometimes the Senator from Arizona does show a little fire in his belly!!

Semel emissum volat irrevocabile verbium

I the Sen McCain has no objection opening fire when he has a clean shot, but objects to blazing fire to make a great noise without seriously damaging the target.

This seems to annoy some here, but makes some sense to me.

Does Barak Obama have less foreign policy knowledge and judgement than the young man from New Haven, Connecticut, educated at Andover Academy in Massachusetts, Yale, and Harvard, member of the National Guard for a short time but never served overseas, who was in the U.S. oil business and U.S. professional sports business, and who was elected President in 2000? (I do not credit Bush with good judgement at all in allowing Cheney and Rumsfeld to get us into a war for which we were poorly prepared for the --no surprise-- very difficult occupation. The planning for the occupation of Iraq, so-called Phase IV, was dropped by General Franks and picked up by no one. We've had thousands of unneeded deaths due to this huge blunder.)

By the way, McCain offers great pickings for his positions and quotations. Just about every position he has now is opposite from his stated positions in years past, so pick away. He has just about always voted conservative, but has not spoken so until recently.

Here's the money quote for you:

"Second, resist the urge to "Bush Bash". While many (even Most) Republicans are no longer enamored with the President, that doesnt mean they are sympathetic with everyone wanting to dump on him, either. They may feel President Bush to have been well intentioned, though blundering; they may have felt events got out of his control, they may even blame the Democratic Congress for his apparent failings. Again, DONT GO THERE. Its not a fight worth having. You dont win VOTES by fighting with people, you win by leading them to the better alternative. George W. Bush is not on this ballot, and neither is his Vice President running to succeed him. That "Bush Third Term" drivel just wont cut it in winning Republican votes. Fortunately, with Obama as our candidate, we can make a better, more substantive case than that."

Now go read the whole thing before you troll your twaddle again. Get with program, comrade.

Nobody is claiming that Iran by South Park Conservative

Nobody is claiming that Iran could invade us. Obviously Obama doesn't understand the many problems that will result from a nuclear Iran, probably because he willingly ignores them like most liberals. The world's not such a dangerous place if you ignore all the danger!

Even if Iran isn't crazy enough to follow their constantly repeated promises to wipe out Israel, and I don't take that as a given, there are still many problems left. Once Iran has the bomb, they will be able to support terrorism with impunity. If we threaten to retaliate to terrorist attacks or bomb terrorists in Iran they will theaten to nuke Israel and probably us as well. Countries throughout the Middle East will also develop nuclear weapons. If an Arab country develops nukes or Pakistan is ruled by an Islamic radical, then we won't have any idea who to retaliate against if Israel is nuked! I would expect that Israel would just nuke every nuclear-armed anti-Israel country to be safe because they won't have any other choice. If a nuke goes off in any American city we won't know who to retaliate against and I doubt we would just guess. We would sit here with one or multiple cities smoldering with Al Qaeda threatening more just trying to figure out where they got the nukes and being unable to retaliate.
