RNC gets a Rezko ad up.

Commendably fast of them.

Of course, unlike apparently Senator Obama, we've known for some time that the man was dirty:

Please note, by the way, that the RNC is not calling Senator Obama corrupt, himself: such assessments will not be meaningful, one way or the other, until the indictments come out next Fitzmas Day. What they are calling him is a man who has confessed to having the judgment skills of a stunned tree sloth*, which is much easier to prove, given some of the things that come out of Senator Obama's mouth when his eyes aren't glued to a Teleprompter. Or, as Hot Air notes (H/T to comments section for the video), given Senator Obama's sad tendency to have friends unworthy of his greatness.

*I paraphrase. I'll also grant that he's got the judgment of a stunned two-toed tree sloth; comparing him to a three-toed tree sloth seems, well, too cruel for even me.

"that's not the Tony I knew".....the man is a liar of the highest order....somehow, someway, these are never the "people" he knew....he thinks us rubes out here are stupid....and for that he will pay....the man is a loser and will be shown the door in November!

Freedom of Religion NOT Freedom from Religion

would be like a normal "clingy" parent is with other parents that they don't know other than on the sideline at their kids' games.

If the RNC does it right, that sort of crap spin won't fly with the average person.

I like the way Rush put it the other day, "Is there ANYBODY he's ever been association with that doesn't have baggage?"

They are quiet inoffensive animals. Hardly the types to hang out with the loud/annoying/thoroughly corrupt characters Obama associates with.

As a lifelong by Vise77

resident of Illinois, including various periods living in Chicago, I know that sleaze is the political norm here.

And I have serious questions about Obama's judgement, worries bolstered by the Rezko case.

That said, don't fool yourselves: The Rezko case involves state GOP leaders as well, some of whom seem to have had far greater involvement with Rezko than the second coming of Jimmy Carter. This is far from being a Dem-only case, as the RNC and others try to pretend it is. If you do not believe me, read the column today in the Chicago Tribune from John Kass, hardly a Dem supporter. Or read prior coverage of this case in the state's various newspapers, blogs, etc.

Before you accuse me of supporting the would-be messiah, note that I plan to vote for McCain. I am simply not a fan of simple-minded propaganda, that's all.

Just as long as the Illinois Democratic Party has similar staffing issues once this is all done.

To Hell with the Combine. Smash, burn, rebuild it all.

The Fuzzy Puppy of the VRWC. I've been usurped!

Obama bashes McCain from coast to coast about his ties to Pres. Bush, all of which are work related. Yet when Obama has personal relationships with criminals its ok.

1 criminal is a gaff, 10 is trend. He gravitates to these people, but talks about how he'll have good people working for him. I guess the group of Dems in the Senate and Congress now make the starting line for the Dallas Cowboys look like saints.

From the Associated Press:

The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee [Obama] is accused of no wrongdoing and his name was barely mentioned at trial, but Republicans are unlikely to let voters forget about his ties to Rezko as the presidential race heats up.

Obama issued a statement saying he was "saddened," adding, "This isn't the Tony Rezko I knew, but now he has been convicted by a jury on multiple charges that once again shine a spotlight on the need for reform."

He must have this talking-point as a Microsoft Word template by now:

"I'm saddened. This isn't the {fill in the blank} I knew."

He's used it on Wright, his grandma, Pfleger, his church, Samantha Power, and now Rezko.
